SCHOOLS

Many primary schools like Chater and Hillside Infants support us mainly by collecting and donating food and other goods at harvest time.

Stanborough School took part in the Big Herts Walk for the first time. They not only had a great day raising funds for a valuable cause but also won a trophy for the school that raised the most sponsorship.

Secondary schools such as Watford Grammar School for Girls and St Margaret's School support through their own fundraising efforts and supporting fundraising events, such as the Sleepout at St Albans Abbey in December 2009.

Our education resource, 'The Unseen Citizen', contains lesson plans on homelessness and the surrounding issues and has proved to be an invaluable tool to PSHE teachers in secondary schools.

If you are interested in organising a Sleepout event at your own school or would like someone from the Trust to speak at your school or would like more information on how to get involved in supporting the Trust please email info@wnht.org.
