COMPANIES

Support from companies varies from financial donations to team building days and donations in-kind.

John Lewis, for example, made us their charity of the year in 2009. They raised funds for local homeless people through taking part in our sponsored abseil and the sleepout last December. John Lewis staff also got involved refurbishing our furniture project and creating a sensory garden at the market garden project. In addition, they raised over £3,000 for the work of the Trust with a Choral concert and have made numerous donations to our work throughout the year.

Ways your company could get involved include:

  • Taking part in a fundraising event for the homeless, such as a sponsored walk or sleepout.
  • Spending a day with your colleagues volunteering in one of the projects.
  • Donating funds towards the production costs of one of our newsletters or leaflets.
  • Offering your facilities or services to our clients and residents.

Business in the Community is an organisation which encourages businesses to foster links with their local community.

We also received valuable support from Ocado, GE, Corona Energy and Leeds Building Society.
