TIMELINE

1990 Watford New Hope Trust begins with 2 buses on Whippendell Road.
1991 A winter night shelter opens in church halls and later a house.
1993 New Hope House opens.
1994 Charity Shop opens.
1997 The Haven purpose-built day centre opens.
Community Home opens.
1998 Resettlement Team is formed.
1999 The Citadel is bought as a night shelter.
2000 Resettlement Team becomes the Contact and Assessment Team (CAT).
Market Gardening project starts.
Furniture Recycling project starts.
2001 Trust website is launched.
2002 Contact and Assessment Team becomes the Tenancy Sustainment and Outreach Team (TST).
2004 The Sanctuary re-opens after redevelopment creating emergency and move-on accommodation for 23 people.
2005 Alpha Court opens - 6 one bedroom flats as the final stage in move on accommodation before independent living.
2007 Basil Lazenby retires after 10 years as Director to be replaced by Mike Smith and The Haven day centre celebrates it tenth anniversary.
